No Nightmares for 7D
On December 9, 2014, 7D had close friend of Mrs. Wallace come and tell us fascinating stories. Mrs. Gallagher taught us about the origin of the Dream Catcher, as well as valuable techniques for making beautiful dream catchers. Traditionally, they were made out of red willow for the outer ring; sinew made the inside net; and leather was used to wrap around the outer ring. We made ours out of a metal ring, leather or ribbon, and synthetic sinew. We used feathers and beads to decorate. Each of our Dream Catchers was unique, and each was a hand crafted masterpiece. Mrs. Gallagher taught us some valuable life lessons about bears, owls, and patience. Thank you, Mrs. Gallagher, for spreading your wisdom!
