The Emerson Advisory Council is please to begin phase one of our school yard revitalization plan. The refurbishment of our fitness trail is well underway with new quarter-down limestone already installed as well as the planting of 19 new trees, beautifying our school grounds and expanding our outdoor learning space. Discovery Elm, Silver Cloud Maple, and Sugar Maple varieties were planted thanks to the generous sponsorship of FedEx, Tree Canada, and the Halladay family in memory of Gerald Kuta. On October 30th a tree dedication assembly was held to thank our sponsors and celebrate this wonderful addition to our school yard. Thank you FedEx, Tree Canada and the Halladay family for supporting our school and enhancing our school yard! Keep your eyes open for more school yard changes in the spring.
