Recently, there has been a push from the provincial government towards oral production in the classroom. Therefore, John Pritchard’s instruction is directed primarily at speaking and listening activities. Reading and writing is also important, but secondary. The intention is to provide students with an environment which is genuine and comfortable for them to practice speaking.

All members of our team teach thematically. Thematic units range from clothing to nutrition to media awareness. Teaching in themes allows students the opportunity to concentrate on the area of language through assignments and projects.
