Winter, Spring, Summer?
It certainly feels like summer is upon us... actually it’s just spring bringing us summer temperatures! Whatever the season, whether you’re indoors participating in a Gym Jamboree with staff vs. students in “A Minute to Win It,” or having outdoor recess wearing spring jackets and rubber boots and trying to avoid the puddles, at Joseph Teres we know how to have fun! Luckily, we have a student Behaviour Matrix that clearly outlines how to be safe, respectful and responsible in all school environments, even when gathered for a special event like a Gym Jamboree or outside having fun with friends at recess.
Before Spring Break, the Joseph Teres community had been given the option to participate in two fundraisers. The parent council has taken on chocolate bar sales and the school is once again working alongside Glenlea Greenhouses and selling plants. The school is very thankful for the many volunteers who run these fundraisers. It is thanks to these efforts that many classrooms have speakers and projectors for their computers, and programs such as Peacemakers and grade 5 camp can continue. All of our students benefit from the money raised through these fundraisers.
In case you’re wondering who won the Gym Jamboree staff vs. students “A Minute to Win It”? It was a tie!!
