Career Quest 

Career Quest is a program designed to help students make decisions about their lives after high school. Emphasis is placed on helping students to discover their aptitudes, to match abilities and personalities with appropriate career choices, to investigate a range of careers through job shadowing and volunteer work, and to select a career and register for post-secondary educational institutions.

Students in the Career Quest program work together with a small team of teachers each afternoon (periods 4 and 5) for both semesters. In these afternoon classes, students study in four non-semestered courses. These courses are taught in the form of cross-curricular projects and activities with an emphasis upon technology.

Students in the program receive credits in the following courses:

·  Career Blueprint 41G
·  Management 40S
·  Career Development Life Work/Transitioning 40S
·  Transactional English 40S 

Requirements for application:

·  Students must have taken all required Grade 11 courses: english, math, social studies and science
·  Students must be in a position to graduate
·  Students will be interviewed by the teachers of the program
