Borrowing

• books are signed out for a 3 week period
• renew books without returning them to the library
• reference materials are signed out overnight only
• no limit on the total number of items you can borrow, except there is a maximum of 3 items/subject
• magazines and vertical files are for library use only

Late Policy

Please return materials on time out of respect for the needs of other students.

• late fees are charged at 25 cents per school day per item, to a maximum of $5 per item
• a grace period is provided where no late fees are assessed if materials are returned within one week of the due date.

Program Description

Information Literacy Skills: Miles Macdonell Collegiate offers a formalized program of library instruction, where the teacher-librarian and classroom teacher work together to present a program of information literacy skills in conjunction with major classroom research assignments.
