Europe Trip 2012
This year’s annual school trip took 30 wonderful students and five chaperones all the way to Italy and Greece (missing the baggage handlers wildcat strike action in Toronto by less than an hour). The voyage allowed students to experience travel by plane, train, gondola, coach bus, Funicular, overnight ferry and for a few, even by subway.
Students had the pleasure of exploring the canals of Venice, the majesty of Rome including the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel, the volcano covered ancient city of Pompeii, the beauty of the island of Capri, the majestic ruins of ancient Greece, swimming in the Ionian Sea, and the birthplace of democracy and the modern Olympics - Athens.
We stole the warm weather from Winnipeg and brought it with us to Europe where every day was sunny and a balmy 20+ degrees. Shorts and sunglasses were the order of every day. Great sights, great food and for some the most important piece - great shopping.
For any students interested in going on next year’s trip to Spain, France and Italy, there is still room. See Mrs. Maciejkow or Ms. Morgan for more information!!!
