River East Collegiate has always encouraged our students and staff to support worthwhile causes within our community. This fall marks the twelfth consecutive year that we will enter a Kodiak team in the CIBC Run for the Cure, which supports the advancement of breast cancer research, education, diagnosis, and treatment. To date, our teams have raised approximately $49 000 in total through donations members collected. In eight of those eleven years, we were honoured with the School Challenge Award after raising more money than any other school in our Run area.

This year’s Run for the Cure will take place Sunday, October 4th at 8:30 am. Registering for the Run is simple and can be done onlie at www.cbcf.org. More information will be mailed to students in our summer mailing later in August.
